Marlboro County

Marlboro County is centrally located within two hours from Charlotte, Raleigh, and Wilmington, NC and 90 minutes from Myrtle Beach.  Marlboro County is crisscrossed with numerous state and federal highways.

Lake Paul Wallace, one of the area's principal recreational attractions, is a 600-acre man-made lake with separate sections for fishing, swimming, boating, and water skiing along with a water fowl refuge.  Hunters can enjoy dove shooting, and duck, deer, quail and small game are abundant.

We can offer industry a vast array of state and local business incentives. An employment-based incentive is offered that places a moratorium on paying corporate income tax to the state for a period of ten years if 100 or more jobs are created within a period of five (5) years. This incentive is increased to a 15-year moratorium if 200 or more permanent jobs are created.
