On Thursday, May 23, The North Eastern Strategic Alliance (NESA) will host a Lunch and Learn event at Northeastern Technical College in Cheraw from noon until 1:30 p.m.
The event will provide regional businesses, entrepreneurs and regional leaders with insight in the various topics within economic development.
Presentations on business resources, the economics of small businesses, apprenticeships and continuing education will be delivered by members of the South Carolina Department of Commerce, the South Carolina Division of Economic Development & Workforce Competitiveness, the Pee Dee Council on Growth and many others.
A lunch buffet will be served, along with a $100 Wal-Mart gift card, which will be given away at the conclusion of the event.
The event will be free and open to the public.
Throughout the summer and into the fall, NESA will host a number of events in its Lunch and Learn series throughout the entire nine-county NESA region.

The North Eastern Strategic Alliance is a regional economic development organization that serves a nine-county region in the northeast corner of South Carolina.
NESA's primary objective is to significantly enhance the quality of life for residents of the region by creating additional jobs and capital investment within the existing industry base, recruiting new companies and expanding tourism-related development.
