FLORENCE, S.C. – Ruiz Foods, a frozen Mexican food manufacturer, today announced plans to expand operations in Florence County. The company plans to invest $40 million.

 

Headquartered in California, Ruiz Foods established operations in Florence County in 2014. The company produces El Monterey and Tornado brand products that are distributed nationwide. El Monterey is the top brand of frozen Mexican food in the U.S. 

 

Located at 2557 Florence Harllee Blvd. in the Pee Dee Electric Commerce Park, the company's investment in its Florence County operation will increase capacity to satisfy growing customer demand.
